Posted by Wizzy , 17 December 2015 · 2561 views

The Season 9 Episode 2 that is available from x9.5 series of our Software brings many exciting options and features. New updates bring more freedom and flexibility to Server Administrators to suite their needs, actually suite needs of their Players :)

With the update 9.5.1.3 we have performed some important changes to drop system - its hierarchy. It presents as follows (starting from the top as most important):

  • Item Bags use BagUseRate attribute to decide whether there is a chance to get lower grade drop system
  • Individual Drop of Specified Monsters spread among many different files where selected monsters are subject to unique configuration
  • Drag and Drop all kind of items that can be thrown from inventory to the ground to drop an item, e.g. boxes
  • Appoint Item Drop -> IGC_AppointItemDrop.xml, if a monster exist in this file then drop rule will be applied
  • Pentagram Item Drop IGC_PentagramItemDropRate.xml, if it is an elemental item specified in the file the drop will be definitely processed from defined in it rules
  • Set Item Drop Manager IGC_SetItemDropManager.xml, system to manage ancients drop, use DropUseRate attribute to decide whether there is a chance to get lower grade drop system
  • Item Drop Manager IGC_ItemDropManager.xml, system to manage items drop, use DropUseRate attrinute to decide whether there is a chance to get lower grade drop system
  • General Drop System Based on ItemRate / Money Rate / Monster Level from IGC_ItemList.xml and IGC_MonsterList.xml

We believe this change will allow the drop system to be organized and handled much better than before. More to come with every new update, stay tuned!

this is good news, but please be treated with caution since the emergence of new problems in your legacy systems becomes sticky.

Appoint Item Drop -> IGC_AppointItemDrop.xml, if a monster exist in this file then drop rule will be applied

What do you mean by "applied"?
The drop rule will "override" other drops of that monster, or that drop will be "added" instead?
